I have chosen the topic of autism with either look at how to develop age appropriate relationships, how to deal with flexible schedule, or attachment. I still have not decide what to look at but and leaning toward age appropriate relationships. I have been applying for jobs in the special education field and some of the job require knowledge of autism. One such job is in my local school district, is a program just for children with autism. With this knowledge I will feel confident to apply for this job and hopefully get it. I am also caring for a little boy who has been diagnoses that is on the autism spectrum and would love to be able to help him and his family out more than what I an currently doing.
The chart has been helpful in learning about key terms and what to look for in credible articles and websites as we being our research.

ReplyDeleteLaury, that is a great topic. You will find a lot of research information for that topic. Going in to special education take a great person with a caring heart. I have been in special education for over 15 years. But now that I have a 20 month old son I have change my career towards Early Childhood.
